Growing up I was quite the tomboy. Most of my friends were boys and I claimed to hate anything girly, especially flowers. But the truth is, I've always loved flowers. The more colorful and unusual, the better. Last week while I was picking up a few things at the grocery store, I couldn't pass up these gorgeous sunflowers. They reminded me of a dear friend that loved sunflowers. We don't stay in touch like we used to, but I think of her often, especially when I come across these beauties.
