MuddyPotts

This week has just flown by! I can't believe it's already Saturday! I am getting ready for the Faun and Flora Show at the 3rd Street Gallery in Westcliffe. I'll be entering a new sculpture, a couple paintings, and perhaps a couple pieces of pottery. Excited to be in a show!
My nephew is visiting from Denver and we've been having lots of fun and getting some work done around the house. The other day we took down some siding that is in the pottery studio, rearranged some and did a nice clean up. It looks great in there! Today we're going to start a new sewing project. Either a pillow or an apron. =)

My family and I went camping this weekend! It was so much fun! Last week we scored a great little camper from Craigslist and couldn't wait to take it out!

Now that we're home, it's time to get back into the swing of things and back to the studio!

Planter Day @ MuddyPotts

WoW! I've been busy since 6:30 this morning! All the animals have been fed, I listed three new planters at MuddyPotts, and now I'm having a cup of coffee and some left over rice for breakfast. Mmmm....

Here's a look at what's new at MuddyPotts:

Horses, Rodeos, and Rain

neo, lumpy and brit

here buddy!

tracy & camden meet lumpy

My girlfriend Tracy and her two kids came to visit me yesterday! We had a blast with the horses, star gazing, laughing and chatting way into the wee morning hours...
... later today I met another girlfriend in Westcliffe to watch the rodeo. We saw team roping, mutton bustin, bronc and bull riding... You name it, we saw it. That was a lot of fun too!
...and now I'm enjoying a quiet evening with a little rain. What a way to end a day.

Starry Night

****Today's feature is of the Bubblicious Red Mug ****
Did anyone step outside last night and see the stars? The sky was breathtaking! I was on the computer when my hubby told me I should come outside and see the stars. And I'm so glad he did! It can be such a humbling experience just looking up at the night sky, seeing all the stars in our universe and then thinking about how insignificant our troubles and worries are.

Rainbow Lake

Yesterday we took the dogs up to Rainbow Lake. It was a long, rough ride, but once we were there, we trekked around the lake and the "kids" swam and played.
Here's a priceless smile from Lexi.

Happy Friday Everyone! As we come to the end of the week and the beginning of a long weekend, I wanted to take this time to reflect on our upcoming holiday, Independance Day! The 4th of July is a time of celebration with family and friends to honor our country, our soldiers, and our freedom. Let this weekend be a reminder of all that we have in our lives and be grateful to those who have enabled us to live our lives the way we do.

Last night I went to Salida with a friend of mine, had a delicious spaghetti dinner with my family, and then went down to Riverside Park to enjoy the United States Air Force open air concert. It was a great time! The music was fantastic and it was extremely nice to see so many people gathered around to support the event. I would have to say my favorite part was when they played all the songs for every branch of service. They asked the audience to stand up when they heard their song so they could be honored. I loved it!

On another note, we are coming to an end with our ecourse with Kelly Rae. It was been a great flight, one that will impact me forever. I have already been inspired once again to tackle new ideas and projects. And I want to say thank you to Kelly and all my fellow flyers for such a wonderful learning experience! You will not be forgotten...
