Anxiously Waiting...

Well, I was going to throw today, but it is really cold out in the studio and I didn't feel like freezing. So I stayed in the warm house and glazed a few pieces. And although I should have waited to have a couple more pieces to put in the load, I went ahead and fired the kiln anyways. So as usual, I'm patiently waiting...but I am excited to to see how everything turns out. I have two cups that are black on the inside and have the cappucino mint on the outside. The other two pieces are bowls. I glazed the smaller one with Poppy Fields on the inside and bright red on the outside. The larger bowl is bright red on the inside and glossy black on the outside. With bold colors like these I can hardly wait to see them
fired!

The other night I posted a blog on the designstyleguide. I write for them once a month. Anyways, I really enjoyed this post and had a lot of fun with it. Here are a few pieces I chose to feature...
And when your done reading this post read the one on designstyleguide, you might like it.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!

I always love going into a new year. I feel refreshed and ready to take on new tasks. Lately I've been reorganizing my studio, making it brighter and more welcoming. There's still quite a bit more I'd like to do, but one day at a time, right?

Today I did a little shopping. Picked up a new bag of white clay and two glazes. Hobby Hut is having a great sale this month. So if you're in the area, stop by and visit Teri.
All paints are 30-50% off!

Happy Trails 2009

(my handsome guide)

This summer we took the boys
up Rainbow Trail, just above Hillside.
Here we stopped for a little drink
and some fun in the water.

Lumpy and I didn't
know we were
getting our
picture
taken.

Happy Trails!!!

The Latest Soap Box...

I have a new style of soap
dish besides the amoeba
shape. This one is simple
and liked a little bit more
than the others by the
gents.

Last week I had five new soap dishes come out of the kiln and one is already gone! I thought I would give everyone a sneak peak before I list them @ MuddyPotts.
