living the dream

art journal page 3

Today was one of those hectic days from the get go. I was doing my normal routine of reading and responding to emails, tweeting, uploading new pieces on my Etsy shops...and then I went to work on a new post and saw that Amanda from EBSQ had chosen my blog for the
Friday Five since I started my new art journal! Totally made my morning! Thank you so much Amanda and EBSQ!

The other day I was putting up some shelves for more pottery in the studio. While I was looking at all these pieces, I decided right then that I needed a sale of some kind. I'm running out of room! So I called my mother to see if she knew of any craft shows coming up and she did! I was given a number to call to see if there was any space left. There were 3 spots open and I jumped on one! I'll be in the Holiday Art and Craft Show in Salida November 26th and 27th. If you're in the area, stop by and see me!

I immediately brought out all my pieces and started doing an inventory. Then I started thinking about other things related to my work that I could put in the show. I've thought about making pendant necklaces for awhile and thought this would be the perfect time to try them out. The cool thing is that I have almost a month to make more pottery too! I'm excited and motivated. Love this combination!

I am so so blessed to be living my dream of making art, riding horses and playing with my dogs. What's your dream?

I love your art journal. I am almost living my dream. I am in the right track now. All I need to complete my dream is to have a more steady income...but out there are lots of opportunities...just have to find them and work harder..Harder??? I am working hard now but I think I need to focus and look for the right opportunities! Wish you a great Saturday!

So glad you are asking about dreams - loved what you wrote on my blog about yours. I too am trying to make this art world work, but there are so many directions calling that I often stop in the fork of the road and just stare and don't move. Which direction to go?

Congrats to you Stephanie for realizing you need to do something for your creative biz and than just jumping into action..yayyy:D good luck with the show, is it a big one? I am doing a little craft/art show on Nov 27th called 'City Walks'...it's uually pretty busy but I promised myself not to get stressed out, just make a great table/booth out of what I have and can reasonably get done.

As for my dream, ha ha....keep on with what I am doing now but with lots of money from the art so I can help more bunnies and definatly loose all the migraine pain!...it goes beyound that of course but I won't write a book here on your comment section, ha ha.
